Why is my Deposit Non - Refundable ? Having a litter of puppies takes Careful Planning, Huge Time Commitment and Major Financial Investments. So by placing a deposit on a puppy you are agreeing to purchase the puppy and we place the puppy on hold and consider it sold. By placing the puppy on hold we are passing on other buyers who may have purchased the puppy so please be sure you want to place a puppy on hold before placing a deposit. The deposit will not be refunded if you change your mind. The puppy is being held for you and if you change your mind and no longer want the puppy then we are way behind in finding a home and extra time and money must be spend in finding a home for the puppy. Even though your deposit is non-refundable it is however transferable to a future litter.
Are the Parent Dogs Health Tested ? YES ! We use a comprehensive Dog DNA Test that screens for 210+ Canine Genetic Diseases. This test also screens for Traits, Ancestry, and Breed Identification.
What kind of Puppy Food do you use? Our puppies are started on Purina Puppy Chow Complete and we will give you a starter bag to take home with you.
What should we bring with us when we pick up our Puppy? A Crate to place puppy in for the ride home, Puppy Pee Pads to place in the crate for any accidents, Towel or Blanket to place in the crate, Cleaning Supplies such as baby wipes or paper towels for cleaning up any accidents, Garbage Bag or Plastic Grocery Bag to place soiled items in, Small Collar, Leash, and a Chew Toy such as a Nylabone to keep your puppy occupied, but also to imprint the experience of the car ride home as enjoyable.
How do Families pick out their puppy? When families come out on puppy go home day usually on a weekend. We schedule times in half hour increments in the order we received deposits. Example: If you were second to place a deposit than you will be second to pick out your puppy if you were fifth to place a deposit you will be fifth to pick out your puppy etc. If for some reason you cannot come pick up your puppy on the time we have scheduled for you that is okay but we do ask that you choose your puppy by photos so the families that are next in line that can make it on their scheduled time can come pick out their puppy and it's not delayed for them as families are very excited about puppy go home day!
When will you be having another Litter of Puppies? We do our best to estimate the time frame of when a litter will be due but Mother Nature has the final say and dogs heat cycles aren't always timely. Sometimes planned pairings do not work out.
Can we visit the puppies ? In order to help keep our puppies healthy and safe we do not allow visits. Only families that have placed a deposit and after the puppies have received their First Vaccine can puppies be visited. Before puppies receive their First Vaccine young and newborn puppies don't have fully developed immune systems and are susceptible to life threatening illnesses such as Parvo. Parvo is highly contagious and can kill an entire litter. Parvo and other illnesses can be carried on peoples clothing, hands, shoes, etc. and unknowingly bring it onto the property. It is also extremely stressful for the mom to have new people visit while she is caring for her new litter. Stress produces cortisol and other stress hormones that go into mom's milk and directly into the puppies causing stress in puppies. Stressed mom's can also accidently roll on or step on puppies. We take every precaution along with the advice of our veterinarian to keep our puppies and your puppy safe. We also send pictures and videos of puppies to families and keep updated pictures up on our website and facebook page so you can watch the puppies grow.
